Michael H’s story

I would like to thank Unite Legal Services for all its help in handling my claim.

Unite member, Michael, was walking home from work when he tripped over the stump of a wooden bollard and fell to the floor, which caused a fracture to his left elbow.

Although Michael was able to return to work immediately, he was allocated light duties and required help with daily tasks at home.

Prior to Michael’s accident, complaints about the bollard had been made a number of times to Leeds City Council but it had not been fixed. From the outset, liability was admitted for Michael’s claim.

Unite Legal Services went on to settle the claim and secured compensation for Michael.
